Josh Wagner keeps his coat closet inside a drawer full of nickels. Every time some gentle soul reads his words he pulls a nickel out and mails it to the “Lads of Santa Fe”, a non-profit organization specializing in finding new ways to use molten lead in urban environments. Once the nickels have dwindled to the point where the closet door will freely open, Josh climbs inside to wait for the twelfth passer-by to pass by; then he leaps out and with a hearty “Aha!”, terrifies the poor fellow (or madam) out of his or her coat. He wears the coat for twenty-four hours, reveling in his cozy treasure. He hangs the coat up in the closet, shovels in a new legion of nickels, and the cycle begins once more.
